Transgender at Work 2000 Fortune 500 Employer Benchmark

Five benchmarking organizations met by conference call on June 12, 2000. Our purpose was to compare best current practices among large corporations with respect to policies and procedures affecting gender variant and transgender employees. Our goal was to enable each company to choose whether and how to enact policies and procedures that will help retain its employees.

Benchmarks are usually private within the participating companies. The results of this benchmark has been shared among the five participating Fortune 500 companies in the benchmark. An anonymized version of the benchmark has been made available for Transgender At Work. We also have made available a printer friendly version.
